Committees
The Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry has the perfect opportunity
for those members interested in making a difference, creating contacts,
and assisting their organization. Volunteering for a committee is that
opportunity. Members are encouraged to join one or more of the committees
listed below. There are various areas of interest and time commitments,
so everyone may participate. We can not be successful unless you invest
time into your organization. Volunteer today!
Recognition Dinner/Dance
This committee selects a location, menu and entertainment for this
celebration. Honored this evening are Citizen and Business of the Year,
the Ken Scheel Award recipient and the newly elected officers and directors.
Committee members select the award recipients and seek donations for
the auction.
Golf
Outing
This
event is the Chamber's largest fund-raiser. Committee members rally
golfer participation, sponsorships, ticket sales, and donations for
raffle and golfer prizes.
Marketing
Committee
This
committee develops and implements all elements of a Marketing Plan.
Membership
Committee
Members
of this committee assist the chamber staff by recruiting new members
and implementing like programs. This committee may also assist your
business through the many contacts made in the process.
Program
Committee
Business After Hours, Business Before Hours, Tri-Chamber Networking,
Quarterly Meetings, seminars, and workshops are all scheduled by this
committee.
Ambassadors
Committee
This committee is made up of distinguished Chamber members, those who
are knowledgeable about the services and programs. Ambassadors must
be a Chamber member for at least six months and are responsible for
all retention efforts, grand opening events, and overall promotion of
the Chamber. Fabulous opportunity to personally meet with other members
on a one-to-one basis.
Technology Committee
This committee evaluates the chamber's current hardware, software and
recommends any necessary upgrades. This committee will also initiate
planning for the Chamber's Web Site member program.
